Shine Bright like the Sun, Nelson County!

Empowering Nelson County: Smart Renewables Light the Way

Wild Rose
Solar Project

Wild Rose Solar Project, LLC is pleased to introduce a proposed 90 MW solar generation facility in Nelson County, Virginia. This facility will deliver many positive benefits to the local community.

Committed to promoting sustainable living through solar energy, we believe that solar energy can transform the way we live and work, and we are passionate about educating the public about the benefits of solar energy in their community. Our team of sustainability developers is dedicated to helping communities make the transition to a more sustainable future.

This project is both an economic development opportunity for greater Nelson County and a significant revenue development opportunity for the local tax jurisdictions that deliver key services to residents.

The project will also benefit regional electricity consumers and the environment by generating clean, low-cost renewable energy and providing vital backup power that increases electric grid resilience and reduces outages.

Benefits of a
Solar Project

Solar projects offer landowners a stable new revenue source by harvesting energy from the sun while strengthening local economies through increased tax revenue and support for community services. These facilities operate quietly, produce no odor or byproducts, and blend well with agricultural uses, rural neighborhoods, wildlife, and the natural environment.

Beyond local benefits, solar developments contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future by reducing carbon emissions, helping stabilize electricity costs, and diversifying the nation’s power grid. They also deliver economic boosts during construction as nearby restaurants, gas stations, hotels, and other businesses see increased activity from workers and supply chains.
